Mobiles Rally in Ninth to Steal 9–8 Win
Jordan Harrison-Dudley drives in five before Ravaughn Morgan seals RedPocket’s third victory in four games
MARYSVILLE, Calif. — The RedPocket Mobiles showed their resilience Friday night at Bryant Field, scoring twice in the ninth inning to come from behind and defeat the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds, 9–8. RedPocket struck first on Jordan Harrison-Dudley's RBI double in the opening inning, then exploded for five runs in the third. Harrison-Dudley launched a three-run homer, and Justin Johnson followed with a two-run shot to give the Mobiles a 6–1 advantage.
Yuba-Sutter steadily erased that lead, scoring once in the third, three times in the fifth, and twice in the seventh to move ahead, 7–6. RedPocket tied it in the eighth when Ravaughn Morgan singled home Maury Weaver, but the Freebirds answered in the bottom half on Zach Chamizo's RBI single. That sent the Mobiles into the ninth trailing 8–7 and needing another late response.
They got it. Spence Coffman opened the rally with a hit and scored when Harrison-Dudley singled to right-center, tying the game. Marco Martinez then put the ball in play to bring Harrison-Dudley home with the go-ahead run. Harrison-Dudley finished 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, five RBIs, two runs scored, and a stolen base, while Johnson added two hits, a homer, and two RBIs. Wyatt Adams held Yuba-Sutter scoreless in the bottom of the ninth, and Morgan provided the final exclamation point by making a diving catch for the third out to seal the 9–8 victory.
The Mobiles look to seal the first series win of their inaugural season as they finish up with two more games in Marysville.
