No Fireworks for Mobiles in Fourth of July Shutout
Kade Walker battles through six innings, but RedPocket is held to three hits in 5–0 loss
KALISPELL, Mont. — The RedPocket Mobiles could not find an Independence Day spark Saturday night in Kalispell, falling 5–0 to the Glacier Range Riders. RedPocket was held to three hits and no walks, with Braylon Bishop, Jordan Harrison-Dudley, and Jonathan Smith each recording a single. Smith also added a stolen base in his Mobiles debut.
Glacier broke through in the third inning when Kyle Ashworth doubled to center field, driving in Jacob Steele and Tommy Rover to make it 2–0. The Range Riders added two more in the fourth on Steele's two-run double, extending the lead to 4–0. Steele finished with three RBIs, while Ashworth drove in two as Glacier collected seven hits.
Kade Walker gave RedPocket six innings on the mound, allowing four runs on six hits while walking four and striking out five. J.C. Coronado followed with a scoreless seventh, and Ethan Ross worked a clean eighth after Glacier added its final run. RedPocket's staff did not allow a home run, but Glacier took advantage of doubles, walks, and hit batters to build its lead.
The Mobiles' best chances were limited as Glacier's pitching staff combined for 13 strikeouts and faced just 30 batters. Cole Cressend opened with four scoreless innings, and the bullpen carried it the rest of the way. RedPocket will look to quickly turn the page after a quiet offensive night in front of a Fourth of July crowd of 3,791.
