Mobiles Erupt for 24 Runs in Statement Win
Gianni Horvat and Jordan Harrison-Dudley lead RedPocket’s 28-hit, seven-homer explosion at Bryant Field
MARYSVILLE, Calif. — The RedPocket Mobiles wasted no time carrying momentum into Wednesday night, exploding for nine runs in the first inning and rolling to a 24–8 win over the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds at Bryant Field. Gianni Horvat opened the game with a leadoff home run, setting the tone for a massive first inning that also included a Jordan Harrison-Dudley RBI double, a Josiah Chavez two-run double, RBI singles from Justin Johnson and Ravaughn Morgan, an RBI double from Horvat, and a two-run homer from Spence Coffman. By the time Yuba-Sutter came to bat, RedPocket already led 9–0.
Horvat delivered one of the best individual games of the Mobiles' season, going 6-for-7 with five runs scored, a double, a home run, two RBIs, and a walk. He started the night with a solo homer, added an RBI double later in the same inning, and kept finding ways to set the table as RedPocket's offense continued to pile up runs. His six-hit performance gave the Mobiles constant traffic at the top of the order and helped fuel multiple scoring rallies throughout the night.
Harrison-Dudley was just as loud in the middle of the lineup, finishing 4-for-6 with two doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs, three runs scored, and a walk. He drove in RedPocket's second run with a first-inning double, SMASHED a 506-foot home run in the third, added another RBI double in the sixth, and delivered the another huge swing in the ninth with a grand slam that stretched the lead to 22–8. It was a complete power showcase and one of the most productive RBI nights of the Mobiles' inaugural season.
The rest of the RedPocket lineup joined the party as the Mobiles finished with 24 runs on 28 hits, including seven home runs and five doubles. Coffman, Hector Nieves, Chavez, Justin Johnson, and Ravaughn Morgan all drove in multiple runs, while Morgan went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored, four RBIs, and two walks. After Yuba-Sutter chipped away in the middle innings, RedPocket slammed the door with eight more runs in the ninth to turn a big lead into a runaway.
Yuba-Sutter answered with eight runs of its own, powered by two home runs from Easton Amundson and another from Zach Chamizo, but the Mobiles had too much offense from the start. Ren Arias worked five innings for RedPocket, while Agnel Miranda handled three innings in relief and Ubaldo Romo closed the night with a scoreless ninth. After winning in dramatic Knockout Round fashion the night before, RedPocket followed it with its loudest offensive performance of the season and one of the biggest statements of its inaugural campaign.
