Mobiles’ Late Rally Ends in Walk-Off Loss at Ogden
RedPocket erases a six-run deficit before the Raptors win 12–11 in the ninth
OGDEN, Utah — The RedPocket Mobiles nearly completed a remarkable comeback Tuesday night at Lindquist Field, rallying from six runs down before falling 12–11 to the Ogden Raptors on a walk-off wild pitch. Hector Nieves opened the scoring with a two-run home run in the first inning, but Ogden answered with four runs in the bottom half and added five more in the third to build a 9–4 advantage. Nieves drove in another run in the third, while Jordan Harrison-Dudley and Josiah Chavez produced RBI hits in the fifth to keep RedPocket within reach.
The Mobiles surged back into the game behind four home runs and steady production throughout the lineup. Harrison-Dudley and Chavez went deep in the seventh, and Maury Weaver added an RBI single to cut Ogden's lead to 10–9. After the Raptors scored once in the eighth, RedPocket answered again in the ninth when Justin Johnson launched a two-run homer to left field, scoring Chavez and tying the game at 11–11. Chavez led the offense with four hits, including two doubles and a home run, while Harrison-Dudley collected two hits and two RBIs. Nieves drove in three, and Johnson added two RBIs on his game-tying blast.
Ogden ultimately escaped in the bottom of the ninth when Bradley Pelle scored from third on a wild pitch. Miles Garrett and Zach Hill helped give the Mobiles a chance to rally by combining for 2.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen, with Hill retiring all three batters he faced. The final result was a difficult one, but RedPocket's ability to erase a large deficit and tie the game in the ninth showed the same resilience that fueled its recent series victory in Yuba-Sutter.
